After seeing the leaks on Reddit, I was fully ready of the fact that Malek was going to die, but this dialogue right here made things so much harder than it needed to be

gagged for the 63826373th time yet again over the masterful way the immortals are handled and how well their otherworldliness is captured. this scene and cain's rampage is the fucking pinnacle.

Sometimes i do wish they had written gray off (as much as i love him and RC) after the pilot so that I would've dropped the show with a *pretty but not compelling to me * after s1. I could've avoided being exposed to so much asinine bullshit for the past 6 years

so........ stormclan, ay? any plans on incorporating that?
StormClan? Hmm... haven't caught up on Ivypool's Heart leaks yet, so I've gotta see what they've done. No that I'm entirely opposed to there being more Clans out there, mind you, but it feels Odd that they're adding yet another one when the main five already have trouble distinguishing themselves.
We just got a 6th Clan; but WarriorClan still has no unique content dedicated to it. AND they just introduced park cats. AND the Guardians are still out there. AND the Sisters and the Tribe. Not to mention that they've still got Sleekwhisker and Sol out there as loose plot threads...
So with that all in perspective, 7 Clans sounds excessive. I think I can make it work, but I do worry about the canonical implications of what seems like a pretty thoughtless choice.
I guess this is what happens when you have a team of writers who can't write anything except travel books. The cats just walk places, experience a Koolabi Mandated Hijinks Scene, and get involved in some other guys' drama.

Just read SL and Vyxaria's backstory really disturbed me. I've been seeing people justifying it by saying that it fits the narrative, but I think we would've been completely fine without the SA. It's extremely weird and frustrating how writers, including female authors, unfortunately, use coercion as the only fundamental aspect of their female character's backstory/arc. I'm not saying that these issues should not be represented, but why is it that women have to undergo some unsettling traumatic experience—which is mostly some form of SA—to have character development? It's frequently treated as the default catalyst for a woman's growth or strength.
There are literally so many other situations and circumstances that can be used as a female character's backstory and define her progress, but no, it has to sexual abuse every single time. Why do writers look down upon women and think the only way a female character can be considered "resilient" is if she's endured some form of violence?
It only sends a troubling message: that a woman must suffer deeply, often through something as horrific as SA, to be seen as complex or strong. And I think it's about fucking time that authors reflect on why they keep coming back to this trope—and what it really says about how they view women.

This was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen in one of these visual novels, no horror book could even come close to the fear this put into my heart when it appeared on my screen:
